It was while I was still in the teaching profession that I was visiting in the home of a fellow band director and my attention was drawn to a clarinet lamp in his den.  My first thought was that this is a unique idea that others might enjoy.  A short time later, I went to my favorite music dealer in inquire about any old or used instruments that he might have in his storeroom and subsequently left with 3 clarinets, two wooden and one metal, and one trumpet.  Over time. all were turned into custom lamps.  In addition, I retrieved my younger brother's high school alto saxophone from my Father's attic and transformed it into a lamp as a Christmas present for him.  Some of the pictures of the lamps that you see on this website are the original ones that I built and are still on display in my home. 

It has been my desire for quite sometime to offer others a variety of unique lamps made from actual musical instruments, and now that I am semi-retired, my dream has come to fruition.  My lamps may be built from new student grade instruments, or when available, used ones that are no longer playable.  All are unique in their design, and as a result, the one that you order and receive may not be an exact replica of the those pictured on this website.

Most lamps are not built until the order is received, therefore, please allow two to three weeks for delivery.  The exact times may depend on my work load when the order received.  Should there be a longer delay, we will notify you.  We will also be adding pictures of other lamps as they are built.  Watch for french horns, violins, and mandolins.
